Dmitri Hvorostovsky’s autumn season of performances continues this month with two recitals and one orchestral concert.
On November 2, the Siberian baritone gives the first of two performances with his longtime artistic partner and pianist Ivari Ilja at Riga’s Great Guild Hall. The pair reunite at Paris’s Théâtre du Châtelet on November 10. The program hears some of Dmitri’s signature recital works, including songs by Glinka, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, and Strauss.
In between, on November 6, Dmitri heads to Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu for an orchestral concert with the Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu and conductor Mikhail Tatarnikov, with selections from his latest album War, Peace, Love and Sorrow plus Italian operatic favorites.
