Dmitri Hvorostovsky honored with Order of Alexander Nevsky

On October 12, Dmitri Hvorostovsky was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky by Russian president Vladimir Putin. The honor, which is given to Russians for strengthening the country’s international prestige through fields including agriculture, transport, economics, and the arts, was bestowed upon Dmitri “for merits in development of national culture and art, and many years of fruitful activity.”
